The Divided Line
The Divided Line is the University of Pennsylvania’s premier political talk radio show and is affiliated with The Penn Spectrum. Broadcasting at WQHS from Seltzer Family Studio at the Hollenback Center, the show is dedicated to bringing political dialogue to airwaves online and across the greater Philadelphia region. The show highlights columnists from The Penn Spectrum and hosts guests and affiliates from around the world to bring listeners up to date with the most important news and politics.
The The Divided Line Team
The show is hosted by Varun K. Menon, a senior (C ’16). A Dean’s List student, recipient of the 2014 Martin Wolfe Prize for World History Research, and a Penn Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism Fellow, he majors in Diplomatic History while also studying to attend medical school after graduation. In his months away from Penn, Varun hosts on TalkRadio WRNR’s Eastern Panhandle Talk.
The Divided Line is also hosted by Celeste Marcus, a freshmen (C ’19). Celeste studies Intellectual History. Her areas of interest include college campus politics and the Arab/Israeli conflict.
The show is produced by James Hiebert, a freshmen (C’ 19). James is interested in quantitative security analysis and hopes to major in International Relations and Mathematical Economics. He believes “radio is the future, and the future is now!”
